Long before they became them, their families were already close, and they grew up just a few houses away from each other. They were schoolmates, too, and crossed paths countless times—sometimes even sitting beside each other in a van or pedicab. Yet somehow, despite being so close in every way, they barely spoke and hardly noticed each other.
Then, one Christmas, a simple video call brought them their first little hello. He was video calling his mom while she was at her house, and his mom handed the phone to her. They exchanged a shy “Hi, hello, Merry Christmas.” Nothing more. Little did they know that this simple moment would someday become part of the beginning of their story.

There were a few more little moments after that—seeing each other at school, congratulating one another after making the Dean’s List, and even the time he delivered mangoes to her house when she didn’t recognize him because she wasn’t wearing her eyeglasses. They were ordinary moments then, but looking back, they were little pieces of a story quietly falling into place.
Then came a simple birthday greeting that opened the door to something neither of them expected.
They started as friends, with simple conversations that slowly became something they looked forward to every day. Somewhere between the laughter, the late conversations, and all the little moments they shared, “Kuya” and “Bi” slowly became “Langga.”

And on April 13, 2021, they officially became a couple.
Through the years, they grew together, shared countless memories, faced life’s ups and downs, and learned that the most beautiful kind of love is the one that feels like home.
Then, on October 26, 2025, at the farm in Guinciaman, he asked her to spend forever with him.
And her answer?
Of course.
Because somewhere along the way, the boy who was once just the boy who lived nearby became the person she could no longer imagine her life without.
From the simplest hello, to the sweetest friendship, to a love they never saw coming—they somehow found their way to each other.
And now, on October 25, 2026, they get to say the two little words that will begin their forever:
“I do.”
From “Kuya” and “Bi” to “Langga,”
from friendship to forever, and from two people who once barely noticed each other to two hearts choosing each other for a lifetime. 🤍
